In September 2018, Aid Afghanistan for Education was awarded the King Sejong Literacy Prize from UNESCO. This prestigious award is given to two organizations each year that demonstrate excellence in education and literacy.

Afghanistan Institute for Civil Society, in partnership with USAID and Counterpart International, awarded Aid Afghanistan for Education for Best Practice in Financial Management in February 2018.
